Ozaki Small Mandarin Ancestor Tree
 
In Tenpyo 12 (740), Nizaemon Nito planted a small mandarin orange in Matsukawa, Aoe. It is said that in Hogen 2 (1157), Nito Matashiro transplanted the tree from Matsukawa to the present ancestral tree. It is 800 years old, covers an area of 446 square meters, and produces 283 kilograms of crops every year.
